When you book an exhibition stand by default the shell scheme option will be supplied and built by the show contractors. The 'Shell Scheme' consists of 1mtr white panels joined together with metal strips. Your stand will be referred to as a 3x3, 3x4, 4x5 ... basically something by something. This determins how many 'panels' you have. A 3x3 will have 3 walls on one side and if the stand is not on a corner it will have 3 walls on the left and 3 on the right. If it's a corner it will only have 3 walls on either side.
The reality of it is that shell shcemes look UGLY! .. you do not have much option apart from having them or not having them ! .. if you don't have them you'll really need to get creative and dig deep into your wallets to make your stand look interesting. If you do have them DO NOT leave them bare - it looks ugly and it will definately put off potential customers. Don't attempt to cover up the plain white walls with a few A3 posters produced by you - it just won't work ! Trust us - we've worked on 1000's of stands and there's only one way to do it - Shell Scheme Panels
it's very simple !
What we do is produce polyboard (foam centered board) mounted graphic panels in full colour blazing graphics the size of each of your white panels. The panels come supplied with velcro which you simply peel off and apply one side to the board and the other side the schell scheme. Literally in a matter of minutes you'll have your stand branded and striking. The great thing is that you will not damage the actual schell scheme as velcro panels do not cause any physical damage and once you've finished using them, simply pull the off and package them until next time ... or put them back up in your office or showroom!.
Can you really do without it?
If you are exhibiting at Olympia, Earls Court, Business Design Centre, London ExCEL or any other venue within the M25 we can arrange for our drivers to deliver the panels to you personally on the day of your set up. Deliveries are only made Mon-Fri. If you are exhibiting outside the M25 you can either collect the panels from our London W1 location or we can deliver the panels to you using an overnight courier service.
If you have ordered full height panels and are planning to take them back with you after the exhibition and you do not have a vehicle which accommodates 2.34m then you have the option of them being supplied as half height panels so instead of having panels of 2.34mtr in height you can have them supplied in half's as 1.17mtr in height. Having the panels split will alow you to easily transport them in a car if you don't have access to a large vehicle. If you do plan to do this then please advise us in advance and ensure that your artwork does not have text in the middle of the panel as this may be affected when the panels are cut in half. Please feel free to call us to discuss if you are unsure on how best to prepare your artwork.
